Below you will find a list of “Meals on Wheels” and “Senior Nutrition Programs” to assist families on fixed incomes or struggling to see their way through caring for Mom or Dad or a loved one. The list below is only a handful of the many food programs and senior home care available here on long island, NY. Some of these programs may be free or are reduced in cost with many a person’s labor, time or food being donated by these much needed charitable organizations. These programs are an invaluable resource for our senior community and should not be abused but appreciated.
Though I have worked hard to provide accurate information for your area, some web site addresses or contact information may need to be updated from time to time. If by chance you notice any of this information needs to be corrected and you have the correct information to be posted and shared for a family in need, or…if you have a number of an organization that may have helped you in the past and would like to share it with us and others, please be so kind as to contact me through the contact page on this web site and share the correct and revised information. I will appreciate it, and so will our Senior Home Care community. One day we will all hopefully get the chance to appreciate and enjoy our golden years, some more, some less, but if we can all just pitch in just a little to help the less fortunate, it just may help a lot.
Thanks and God Bless!
